But first, a little update from the Kingdom of Denmark:

Here, things are looking up. Spring is all but here, and the added daylight and milder temperatures are doing wonders for everyone's moods.

Yesterday, I went for a long walk in the woods just listening to the birds. For the past few years I've been overly attached to my computer, and tech in general. Never really taking the time to be truly alone, or to be in nature just soaking in the wonder and beauty that is all around us.

It's like tech has caused us to "hurry" from one thing to the next. The second we clock off work we pull up the phone for something to distract us with, and the second we get home we turn on Netflix and binge-watch shows we've watched many times before.

(Of course, not everyone - but you get my point!)

So, I've been trying to disconnect myself a bit more. To use the tech in my life as tools, and not as emotional or spiritual crutches to endlessly distract and supply dopamine rushes.

To be okay with being alone. Being bored even.

And the effects of this are almost instantaneous. I'll report back later when I've got a bit more data on it, but I'm feeling like a different person already.

PS: Would anyone be interested in a newsletter that's more general, with the occasional language mention? I've become quite passionate about self-development, motivation, and general success over the past few years, while trying to dig myself out of various holes, dealing with depression, loneliness, and other challenges, so I was thinking about sharing more about that, which might not necessarily include any references to language learning most times.
